“Man soll die Dinge so einfach wie möglich machen. Aber nicht einfacher.” - Albert Einstein

If you can’t explain it to a six‑year‑old, you probably haven’t understood it yourself. Whether or not that quote truly comes from Einstein is beside the point: it is one of my guiding principles.

On the one hand, I study complex subjects deeply enough to explain them to anyone. On the other hand, I look for ways to make them engaging and practically relevant for the intended audience, so they actually absorb what they need.

For the same standard, a training session for sales will emphasise different aspects than one for the design team or for colleagues who handle certification. The content always follows the needs of the group.

Topics

Training courses can be built around various domains within product legislation and standards:

  • PPE standards and PPE legislation

  • Certification processes (CE, conformity assessment, technical documentation)

  • Textile testing and interpretation of test results

  • Standardisation: new EN standards, revisions, withdrawals

  • EUDR, EPR, food contact, biocides

  • Borderline cases: PPE vs. medical device, claims, risks

The content is always tailored to the level and context of the participants.

How I approach training?

Before we begin, we define together:

  • Target group — who will be in the session, what is their prior knowledge, and what do they need to know?

  • Objectives — what should the group be able to do or understand after the training?

  • Content — which standards, examples or cases are relevant?

  • Format — classroom session, online, workshop, deep‑dive or Q&A session.

  • Materials — slides and, if desired, a workbook or syllabus with additional explanations and space for notes.

  • Language — Dutch, French or English.

Based on this, I prepare a tailored proposal.

The benefits for participants?

  • a clear explanation of complex standards

  • examples that relate directly to their products

  • time for questions and interaction

  • an optional workbook that goes beyond the slides

  • practical tools to apply the knowledge immediately

Who is this for?

  • companies with basic internal knowledge that want to deepen their understanding

  • teams that work with standards but are not always sure how to interpret them

  • sales, design, purchasing, quality, R&D and compliance teams

  • organisations that want to onboard new employees quickly

Interested?

You can request a training session by email or via the contact form. Together we define the target group, objectives, duration, language and materials. I then prepare a tailored proposal.
